Paisley First (of many!) Camping Trip 2012

Paisley taking a minute to contemplate the meaning of life

For our long weekend over Easter, we decided to take a short camping trip to introduce Paisley to one of our favorite activities.  We stayed in an adorable cabin at Horsetooth Reservoir for 2 nights. We hiked, we had several campfires, and had some good Witkop family bonding time.  It was such a good experience and I think we made a camper out of Paisley.

Paisley was such a trooper and did so well.  She was a little confused about why we were outside all the time, but she enjoyed seeing the wildlife and watching the dogs swim.  As for the wildlife, we had deer, geese, ducks, and even a skunk all within 20 feet of us, the skunk was not so fun but we were still and he just left us alone.

We made good use of the backpack that my sister passed down to us and took several day trips.  We were excited that Paisley was so into the outdoors, she loved watching the scenery go by and the view from dad's back.

It was fun to introduce Paisley to and watch her experience such an important activity in our lives.  Here are some of our favorite pics from our first camping outing of the year.

Exhausted after the hike- so sweet!

I love Camping!

Paisley and Dad with the very friendly geese (I probably shouldn't have fed them earlier, they were our very annoying neighbors for the rest of the trip)
