After our 23 week check-up, I thought we should probably update the blog with new information. The check-up went great, Baby Girl Witkop is healthy with no cause for concern. She will really pack on the weight this month, adding 6 oz per week of growth now, which means that momma will start getting big too! People are starting to notice, I always get lots of smiles and comments on the baby, even a few belly rubs. Never one to waste an opprotunity, I have really taken advantage of the whole people-love-pregnancy-thing and use her to get some added bonuses. I get to jump to the front of line for bathroom breaks, people bring me snacks, and I get told how cute I am daily. I'm rocking the baby bump and am loving it. Pictures of momma's big belly will come soon!
The past few weeks it has really started to sink in that baby is on her way. Some new developments are that Baby Girl Witkop now responds to poking and proding, she is fiesty and will kick back. She loves to lay on Momma's bladder and kick, dad really encourages this and praises her when she does it :) She gets the hiccups everyday and is really active after mealtimes. She kicks whenever in the car and loves music being played. She is already developing quite a closet with gifts from Aunt Savanna, mom and dad, and others. One purchase that we had to make was her coming home from the hospital outfit. The outfit is the Colorado Rockies set for newborns, the set includes a hat, burb rag, booties, bib, and onsie that reads "Rookie of the Year." It is too adorable and we couldn't pass it up. She is destined to be a Rockies fan!
